Benjamin H. Carpenter, II

Benjamin H. Carpenter II is the President of Miramar Holdings where he is also a principal. Benjamin directs and oversees all aspects of Miramar’s activities including oil and gas management, investment sourcing, diligence and monitoring, and philanthropy. Prior to joining Miramar in 2013, Benjamin was an investment analyst at Highside Capital Management, a multi-billion dollar long-short public equities manager. Prior to Highside, Benjamin worked in the corporate private equity group at The Blackstone Group in New York where he analyzed, executed and monitored investments in businesses across multiple industries. Benjamin began his career in the investment banking division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York. 

Benjamin currently serves on the boards of a number of Miramar’s private equity investments. Benjamin is involved with The University of Texas at Austin having served on a number of councils and boards at the McCombs School, and he is involved with multiple Dallas-based charitable organizations. Benjamin received a BBA in Business Honors and Finance with high honors from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Benjamin lives in Dallas with his wife and four daughters.
